I participated in a webinar earlier today with KDHE, KSDE, and Gov. Kelly’s Chief of Staff regarding the Coronavirus Pandemic. Board President Jason Sutterby joined me. We will continue to monitor and provide updates. We will follow all KDHE guidelines to keep our students and staff as safe as possible. - Superintendent Bret Howard

The UHS Choir performed the National Anthem at the KSHSAA 2A State Basketball tournament in Manhattan, KS on Wednesday. The choir performed very well, and had a lot of fun on the trip. We are so grateful for this amazing opportunity to represent Uniontown.

The FFA Trip is still happening! Despite the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo cancelling due to the Coronavirus scare, we are still leaving tomorrow morning at 4:00 AM. We will continue with our tours tomorrow and our trip to Six Flags on Friday. Saturday we will attend the Oklahoma Youth Expo Livestock Show in Oklahoma City instead of going on to Houston. We will still return home on Sunday afternoon, maybe a little earlier than originally planned.

Congrats to the Uniontown FFA Agriculture Sales team for placing 2nd at today’s Southeast District FFA contest in Iola. Individually: Zach Snyder placed 4th Drew Perry placed 7th Clay Brillhart places 8th Luke George was just outside the top 10
