Both Mrs. Miller and Mrs. Gorman's third grade classes ventured to UHS to join Mr. Woods' seventh hour high school art class which consisted of students ranging from Art 1 to Art 5 and also students who are enrolled in Graphic Design. The 3rd graders were paired with a high school buddy to hand create a ceramic bell for Christmas. The bells were made using the pinching method out of clay, a slab handle was added to the top, and together they decorated it. A small ball of clay was rolled and will be connected to the bell with a string after the piece is bisque fired. After firing, the third grade students will paint their bell. The bell will be functional once finished.
