UHS Digital Media students were presented with the valuable opportunity to attend the Kansas Scholastic Press Fall Conference hosted at the University of Kansas today. Over 700 students from schools across Eastern Kansas were present to participate in sessions covering topics such as yearbook production, newspaper journalism, photography, and graphic arts.
During the opening session, Uniontown received a shout-out for being the smallest high school represented at the conference, while also being commended for bringing the largest percentage of its student body to the event.

From Nurse Rachel:
CHC will be here on 10/7/24 to provide dental screenings to those students who signed up. Students will only be screened if we received a consent form! Thanks!

Last week our 7th graders tested their water rockets on the football field. We had 2 groups break the school records! Levi Ervin and Kole Bowman built a rocket that traveled 327' in the air breaking the previous record. Scout Eden and Quinten Irsik built a rocket that stayed in the air for a new hang time record of 14.95 seconds. Their names will go up on the Synergistics Record Holders wall of fame. Is your legacy of JH Synergistics record still standing? We have some that date back to the mid 90's still on the wall.

We hosted our Varsity 18 hole Invitational today at Fort Scott with 10 schools in attendance. Senior Reese Gorman finished the meet with a 10th place medal. Our JV girls will play at Girard this Thursday and Reese will go to Garnett on Monday. I was proud of all our girls for playing hard today and competing for all 18 holes even when things didn't go their way on every hole.
