Our FREE sports physicals are scheduled for May 4th. Parents should complete their portion of the forms & return them to school no later than May 2nd. This service is open to any current 6th through 11th grade student who plans to participate in a school sport during 2022-23.

DEVELOPMENTAL SCREENING SCHEDULED IN UNIONTOWN
Developmental screenings will be available for children ages 3-5 who may need special education and/or related services on Monday, April 4, 2022 at West Bourbon Elementary, Uniontown, KS.
Vision, hearing, speech, and developmental screenings can be conducted for children ages 3-5 at no cost. This free screening is sponsored by the Southeast Kansas Interlocal #637 and USD #235. Appointments are necessary and can be arranged by contacting Jennifer Vaughn at (620) 704-6549.
Hey Eagle Baseball Fans. Due to Weather Conditions, Today's Baseball Games at Pleasanton have been Postponed And will be Played May 9th at Pleasanton Starting at 4:30 pm.
WBE Preschool students visited Greenbush yesterday to explore the 20' Lego wall and meet Rosie the tarantula as well as a python named Voldemort. They also learned about the life cycle of plants, studied hydroponics, and planted shamrock seeds to grow in their classroom.

The enrollment process is open for the 2022-2023 WBE 4 year old preschool program. To be eligible for this program, your child must be 4 years old on or before August 31, 2022. Please contact WBE at 620-756-4335 for an application or for further information.

WBE Kindergarten Round-Up
A screening clinic for 2022-2023 kindergarten students has been scheduled for Monday, April 4 at West Bourbon Elementary. To be eligible for kindergarten, your child must be 5 years old on or before August 31, 2022.
Students who will be new to WBE will sign up for a 30 minute slot to be assessed on April 4. Please bring in your child’s birth certificate and immunization record. The agenda for the child will include kindergarten skills assessment, vision, hearing, speech, and checking health records.
Kindergarten children are required to have a physical exam within 12 months of beginning school and have all current immunizations. You may contact Girard Medical’s Uniontown Clinic to set up a physical time on the 4th if you wish; they can be reached at 620-756-4111. Students that have incomplete records will not be allowed to start school until their records are complete.
Due to the screenings, there will be no Kindergarten class on April 4th.

Uniontown USD 235 Parent/Teacher Conferences will be held on Wednesday, March 9 and Thursday, March 10 from 4:00 - 8:00PM. Conferences at WBE are by appointment. Conferences at Uniontown JH/HS are come and go.

2A Uniontown Sub-State Girls Championship Game.
Pittsburg-St. Mary’s Colgan and Uniontown will play in the Sub-State Championship game on Saturday, March 5 at 5:30 PM in Uniontown. Admission is $7 for adults and $5 for K-12 students.
Congratulations to Uniontown FFA member Kristy Beene on earning 1st place in the Southeast District FFA Beef Entrepreneurship Proficiency Award area.
Kristy will now compete in the state proficiency award contest held at State Convention in late May.
